Vin Diesel, the voice behind Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took to Facebook where he was joined by Joe Russo, who gave us our first look at the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet.

Watch:

Diesel teased the movie saying, “What I’m seeing is going to drive you guys crazy. I’m so lucky that I’m able to see it and have my own little Groot script that no one else gets to see.” He added, “I get to know the two lines behind every little thing that I do.”

Diesel then notes that Groot is a very unique character, “Groot might be the only character in recent cinema where we get to watch his evolution on screen.” Joe Russo jumped in, “That’s right. He ages very differently than other characters. You get to see him a lot of different age ranges. It makes him a fascinating character. He’s at a new age range in this movie. You are going to see something else from him.”

Vin Diesel elaborated, “You are going to see a different Groot. One that is going through the teenage years and we all know what that’s like.”

Groot was first introduced to us as a fully grown adult of his species in Guardians of the Galaxy. He would then sacrifice himself in order to save his companions in their fight against Ronan. And while Groot may have died, a piece of him began growing again as a new Groot was born. We then got to see Baby Groot adventure with his companions in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. In Avengers: Infinity War, as Vin Diesel confirms Groot will be an adolescent in his young teenage years.

Vin Diesel and Groot will take the battle to Thanos and his minions in Avengers: Infinity War on April 27, 2018.
