Will Smith Performs “Prince Ali” in New Clip from Disney’s Aladdin

Will Smith performs the iconic Aladdin song “Prince Ali” in Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin.

Not only is Will Smith starring as the Genie in the upcoming live-action adaptation, but he also recently launched the Make-A-Wish #FriendLikeMe Challenge alongside Disney and Make-A-Wish. The challenge will see Disney donate up to $1 million to Make-A-Wish every time someone uses the hashtag #FriendLikeMe

Here’s the gist of the challenge:

“If you were the Genie in Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ and had the chance to grant three heartfelt wishes for someone, who would you share them with? Tag a friend on Twitter and/or Instagram. For every public post with #FriendLikeMe from April 29 through May 24, 2019, Disney will donate $5 up to $1 million to Make-A-Wish to help grant life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses all over the world. “

 

Aladdin is directed by Guy Ritchie based off a script by Ritchie and John August and adapted from Disney’s animated film Aladdin.

The movie stars Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders, Numan Acar as Hakim.

ALan Menken provides the score for the film and will  new recordings written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. There will also also be new music written by Menken and songwriters Banj Pasek and Justin Paul. Songwriter ZAYN and Zhavia Ward will perform “A Whole New World” which will be featured in the film’s end credits and on the film’s soundtrack.
