Shazam! star Zachary Levi took to Instagram to share a new photo of the mighty superheroes iconic belt. Not only did he share the new photo of Shazam, but he also announced that he returned to the set for “additional photography.”
Along with the update on Shazam!, Levi also had a message for folks in the United States about election day.
He wrote:
“Also, now that I have your attention: if you’re in the United States of America, and you care about the direction our country is heading/about to head, and how that affects all of us, I encourage you to educate yourself on the matters and candidates at hand, and then vote according to YOUR convictions. Trust that your voice does in fact mean something. And our collective voices mean everything. #wethepeople ?”
Shazam! is directed by David F. Sandberg. The film stars Levi, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Mark Strong as Dr. Sivana, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Ron Cephas.
Here’s the official description for the film:
“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
Shazam! comes to theaters on April 5, 2019.
