Zack Snyder Talks More About His Cut of Justice League and Its Runtime
Hooplah over Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League is not going away. More claims of its authenticity are surfacing.
According to a report by Movieweb, Snyder was heard saying at a recent screening of Batman v. Superman‘s Ultimate Edition that his cut of Justice League is 3.5 hours long.
This verifies he was prepping for a long epic, which he indicated once before. Last November, the director trolled his old bosses at Warner Bros. on his Vero social media account by drawing a parallel between Justice League’s running time and the temperature of a Thanksgiving turkey.
No matter how long it is, Snyder maintains he has a cut (as we have been reporting for months), perhaps several. More amateur video surfaced from the event of Snyder telling fans the ball is in the studio’s court:
“All I can say is… sure there’s a cut… it’s done. I have a cut. I have a bunch of them. So, it’s not like… that’s up to them (Warner Bros.)”
The video containing Snyder’s words in full was tweeted by a fan — Charlie/SnyderCutJL — claiming he enhanced the audio. See and hear for yourself.
It’s done. It’s up to them.

It all seems rather straightforward, but the existence of a Snyder Cut still has its skeptics, and they are vocal.
We wrote earlier of another fan, Carlos, who tweeted a photo of himself and Snyder plus video evidence of the exchange. Carlos felt the need to clear the air, stating in a later tweet he goes by what he was told. SnyderCutXL’s story backs him and the rest of the believers up.
Confusion stems from other reports saying the unreleased Snyder Cut doesn’t exist. Those reports are based on Snyder’s statement that his and Chris Terrio’s first script for Justice League was rewritten before they ever entered production. Some of the more controversial ideas were thrown out because Warner Bros. was leery of the overall approach.
Doubting allegations are further compounded by differing interpretations of what Snyder meant when he said “It’s finished…it’s out there.” Some feel he was referring to the theatrical cut padded with Joss Whedon reshoots.
This assessment ignores Snyder’s spate of Vero posts over the past year and blatant jabs at WB — as well as his terse claim that he shoots what he writes from a few months ago. Needless to say, he has plenty of storyboards to share. They, and the stills from deleted scenes, are coming from somewhere.
Then there’s the testimony of others close to the situation such as Ray Fisher and the loquacious Jason Momoa. Saying he wants to see it, Momoa certainly talks as if Snyder’s cut exists. And Fisher spoke of footage, enough for two movies, meant to take Cyborg to an apex hitherto unseen.
If that footage is indeed out there, sources say all Snyder has to do is cut it together and work out the CG effects. And these words apparently come from the man himself.
How do you feel? Do you think we will see a Snyder Cut?
