Game of Thrones Failure: Water Bottle Spotted During King’s Landing Trial Scene

Another Game of Thrones editing failure was spotted during the series finale on Sunday. This one included multiple plastic water bottles.

In the final episode titled, “The Iron Throne,” a water bottle was seen underneath the chair of John Bradley’s Samwell Tarley during the King’s Landing trial scene that takes place about 46 minutes into the episode.

A fan captured the water bottle hiding behind Bradley’s foot underneath his chair.

Here’s a better look at the water bottle.

Another fan even notes there is a second water battle next to Liam Cunningham’s Ser Davos Seaworth.

This isn’t the first failure that HBO’s Game of Thrones has seen this scene. Previously, a Starbucks coffee cup was scene in Season 8 Episode 4 titled “The Last of the Starks.” The coffee cup was seen in front of actress Emilia Clarke as she presided over a feast celebrating their victory against the Night King and his army of the dead.

Emilia Clarke responded to the gaffe on Instagram, “Did I just stumble upon the truth her?!” She then adds, “The cup bearer does not drinket the Starbucks tea…oh and this ain’t a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home from a mid filming cuppa….”

Executive producer Bernie Caulfield discussed the Starbucks mistake with WNYC radio, “We’re sorry!” He then joked, “Westeros was the first place to actually, you know, have Starbucks.”

In Episode 5 “The Bells,” one fan spotted a cameraman in one of the battle scenes. You can see his right hand on the left of the image.

What do you make of these mistakes? Do you think it goes hand-in-hand with the poor quality of this final season?
