Actress Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian, mocked her character receiving the Darksaber from Din Djarin following a fight with Axe Woves.

At the end of The Mandalorian Season 3 Chapter 6 “Guns for Hire” Bo-Katan Kryze defeats Axe Woves in single combat in order to reclaim the fleet that he took charge of when she failed to reclaim the Darksaber from Moff Gideon.

After being defeated, Woves claims Bo-Katan is still not worthy given she doesn’t possess the Darksaber. Djarin then hands the Darksaber over explaining that he was defeated by a cyclopean creature on Mandalore. Bo-Katan then defeated this same creature and is thus the rightful owner of the blade.

Recounting this scene in an interview with Kristian Harloff, Sackhoff mocked it saying, “Why didn’t you give me the Darksaber on the plane ride over here, dumb dumb. Like why you gotta do it in front of these people that already know that I took it one time before. Like what are you doing?”

She continued, “They were there. They saw me accept this the last time. They know how badly it went. Why are you not giving it to me in private? You want to follow me so bad, buddy? What are you doing? Why didn’t you just say she beat me?”

Shortly after mocking the ridiculous nature of Din Djarin not handing over the weapon before Bo-Katan and Axe Woves dueled, which would have negated the fight entirely, she then justified Bo-Katan being the rightful owner of the Darksaber while recalling a conversation with a social media user that she claims was trying to mansplain the Darksaber to her.

She said, “The Darksaber needs to be won in battle, right? It was won in battle. The Crone won it in battle with [Din Djarin]. It’s laying on the ground. Bo picks it up. She beats the Crone and then she gives it back.”

Clearly, Sackhoff needed to be mansplained to because she’s forgotten her own voice acting from The Clone Wars. In that series, Pre Vizsla is defeated in single combat by Maul. Immediately after Maul kills Pre Vizsla, Bo-Katan rejects his leadership of the Death Watch and Mandalore at large and leads her Nite-Owl faction against him albeit they flee from him and his brother Savage Opress.

She did not recognize a non-Mandalorian claiming the weapon in battle. So now trying to justify the weapon being won by a non-Mandalorian makes absolutely no sense and is one of many reasons why this entire season was a disaster.

Next time before Sackhoff decides to go off on a Star Wars fan she might want to actually remember the Star Wars work she’s actually done or at the very least she should put her pride aside and recognize this fan might actually be right, and the Darksaber lore as depicted in The Mandalorian made actually no sense and was probably one of the main reasons why they decided to have Moff Gideon destroy it in the Season 3 finale.

Nevertheless, it is interesting that Sackhoff is the second actress questioning the believability of a Lucasfilm show. Obi-Wan Kenobi actress Vivien Lyra Blair recently called into question a scene from the show where her character, Leia, was hiding under the coat of Obi-Wan Kenobi as they attempted to exit Fortress Inquisitorius.

At Star Wars Celebration she said, “I remember the scene where I was in the the coat. I was inside the Imperial officer’s coat and I kept poking my head out to look around at the set and he kept trying to push me back in, and it was really funny.”

“I kept just saying, ‘How is anyone believing that this random lump inside this guy’s coat is just normal? How is this happening?’ But it was a lot of fun,” she added.
