Sometime at the end of season three, the Legends of Tomorrow will lose one of their mainstays.
According to a report by Deadline, Victor Garber aka Dr. Martin Stein, will exit the show sometime this season. Neither The CW nor Warner Bros. TV have made any sort of comment.
The report details:
He will remain series regular on the current third season of Legends of Tomorrow though there are no current plans for him to return for further episodes. Still, with the time-travel nature of the superhero show, there is always a possibility for characters to be brought back.
Since his debut on The Flash, Victor Garber has been a mainstay in the CW’s Arrowverse. He Started out as one half of Firestorm with Robbie Amell and helped lay out the foundations for the expansion of the shared universe on The CW.

This comes as no real surprise though since it was announced that he will be returning to the stage with Broadway’s revival of Hello Dolly. With filming of Legends of Tomorrow in Vancouver and a Broadway production on the other side of North America, I couldn’t imagine the type of schedule he’d have to keep just to meet the needs of both productions. His Broadway production is also a huge undertaking. It involves a six day a week schedule with 7-8 shows a week. I would love to believe he’d use this opportunity to boost up his flyer miles. However, it makes more sense that Victor will step back to take on the stage again.
Hope for the Future
The one diamond in the rough is there is the possibility of Victor returning to the show. With the way the show goes back and forth through time if Victor Garber wants to pay a visit to his old colleagues, I could see it being a very real possibility.
Are you saddened by reports of Victor Garber’s exit? How do you think this will affect the Legends of Tomorrow team? How do you think they will handle Firestorm moving forward? Ratings are down already this season, could this spell more hardship for the show? Let us know in the comments below!
