Riverdale Actor Luke Perry Suffers Stroke

Riverdale actor Luke Perry, who plays Archie Andrews’ dad, Fred Andrews, has reportedly suffered a stroke.

TMZ reports the 52-year-old actor “suffered a massive stroke Wednesday, and is currently hospitalized.” One of Luke Perry’s representatives, publicist Arnold Robinson told the Associated Press that Perry is “currently under observation at the hospital.”

The report from TMZ indicates paramedics arrived at his home in Sherman Oaks around 9:40 am. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital.

Perry had been recently seen on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles shooting episodes of Riverdale.

Perry’s fans and friends noted they were praying for him and sending best wishes.

While Perry currently portrays Fred Andrews on Riverdale, he shot to fame in the 90s as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills, 90120. He would go on to appear in Oz as Reverend Jeremiah Cloutier and Jeremiah in Jeremiah.

Fans of The Incredible Hulk might remember Perry as the voice of Rick Jones in The Incredible Hulk animated show in the mid 90s. He also lent his voice talent to Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm.

Perry is expected to play Scott Lancer in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
