Rumor: Flash to Appear on DC Universe’s Titans Season 2

A new rumor indicates that Flash will make an appearance in DC Universe’s Titans Season 2.

The rumor comes from Lance Ausfresser and the DC’s Titans Facebook group. Ausfresser stated:

“One hint.. why i’m locking up

We will see some sort of flash this season

Could also be a play on words, or maybe not.”

The Flash was confirmed to exist within the DC Universe’s Titans universe. In an episode of Doom Patrol, Crazy Jane notes that Cyborg is “way cooler than The Flash.”

It’s no surprise that the The Flash would exist within DC Universe’s Titans and Doom Patrol universes. The first season of Titans makes plenty of references to Justice League members such as Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman. In fact, Batman is actually featured in the show’s finale. Bruce Wayne will officially be joining the show for Season 2. He will be portrayed by Game of Thrones veteran Iain Glen.

It’s unclear which version of The Flash will appear in Titans if this rumor pans out to be true. It could be a brief cameo from Barry Allen or they could introduce Wally West. Wally West was the original Kid Flash and was a founding member of the Teen Titans in the comics. He would eventually take on the role of The Flash following Barry Allen’s death in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

It’s also possible they could introduce Bart Allen as Kid Flash. Bart Allen joined the Teen Titans alongside the new Robin Tim Drake, Cassie Sandsmark as Wonder Girl, and Kon-El as Superboy. Superboy was teased at the end of Titans Season 1, so it’s definitely a possibility that they might tap Bart Allen over Wally West.

Another possibility is Wallace West. Wallace West was introduced during DC’s The New 52. He joined the Teen Titans during Teen Titans Rebirth #1 taking up the persona of Kid Flash.

My money is if they do feature the Flash, it will be Wally West. The show made it clear that the Teen Titans seemed to have existed before the show, but everybody went their different ways. It’s quite possible Wally West was a member of that team.

In fact, concept art from 2017 hinted that the Titans Tower would appear in the show. In the comics, the tower was originally the base headquarters for the Teen Titans. during The New Teen Titans run.
