A new rumor indicates that Marvel Studios is developing a She-Hulk and Hulk series starring Mark Ruffalo that will tie in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Disney+.
The rumor from We Got This Covered indicates the show will be a Disney+ project to go alongside the recently announced WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter, and Loki television series. The show will allegedly star Mark Ruffalo, but will be used to shift the focus onto She-Hulk aka Jennifer Walters as they indicate Ruffalo is almost done with his role as the Hulk.
In the comics, Walters is actually Bruce Banner’s cousin. The character made her first appearance in [easyazon_link identifier=”B073V77VRP” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Savage She-Hulk #1[/easyazon_link] in 1980 and was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema. Unlike Banner, Walters receives her Hulk-like powers through a blood transfusion from Banner after she is the victim in a drive-by shooting. She also is able to maintain her personality, intelligence, and emotions when she transforms into her Hulk form.
However, Walter’s Hulk-like powers are not what defines her. She’s actually a Los Angeles lawyer by trade.
There weren’t any other details about the series, but the rumor indicates it will be similar to the rumored Hawkeye series. The rumor indicates that Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as he will pass the torch and possibly the Hawkeye mantle down to Kate Bishop. Bishop becomes Hawkeye in the comics and is one of the key members of the Young Avengers.
If this rumor about a She-Hulk series pans out to be true, it’s quite possible Marvel Studios could dive into the ever-popular police procedural game with She-Hulk taking on the role of lawyer.
