Netflix and Marvel’s The Punisher Season 2 is currently filming and a new set video showcases an epic firefight between Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Ben Barnes’ Jigsaw.
The video was captured by Digital Spy and shows Ben Barnes’ Jigsaw standing out in the open unloading some type of short-barreled AR variant in the direction of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. While, Billy Russo is out in the open, Castle is hunkered down behind a wrecked BMW and a number of other vehicles. He looks to be a little outgunned as he only fires back with sidearm.

And while the firefight is obviously the main draw of this scene, the crashed cars hint at a car chase. It’s possible Jigsaw or Punisher were hunting each other in what looks to be another exciting car chase sequence in Season 2. If you remember in Season 1, there was the excellent car chase sequence between Castle, Micro, and Amber Rose Revah’s Dinah Madani.
What also stands out in this set clip is that Barnes’ Jigsaw does not have any facial scarring. At the end of the first season, Frank Castle takes Billy Russo and slams his face against a piece of shattered glass. He then drags his face down the glass causing intense pain and physically scarring Billy Russo turning him into the iconic Marvel villain, Jigsaw.
It’s possible the scarring will be added digitally to Barnes’ face or he got his hands on some advanced Wakandan tech to heal the scarring. My bet is the scarring will be added digitally in post-production.
Are you excited for Frank Castle to get back in action in The Punisher Season 2?
There hasn’t been an official release date for The Punisher Season 2 and many suspect it won’t come to Netflix until sometime in 2019.
