Anthony and Joe Russo are teaming with Valiant Entertainment to bring Quantum and Woody to television following Avengers: Infinity War according to a report from The Wrap.
The team behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War will develop Quantum and Woody alongside Mike Larocca and Valiant’s Dinesh Shamdasani.
Ant-Man veterans Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari will also serve as executive producers and scriptwriters for the pilot. This is in addition to their script work for Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Quantum and Woody are billed as the world’s worst superhero duo. They were originally created by Christoper Priest and MD Bright. The main characters are bickering, washed-up, adopted brothers who accidentally gain superpowers during a laboratory explosion while investigating the death of their father.
Quantum and Woody joins Valiant’s upcoming film projects “Harbinger” and “Bloodshot” which will be written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Eric Heisserer. They also have an “Archer & Armstrong” and “Shadowman” feature films in the works.
Quantum and Woody’s most recent incarnation in 2013 saw the it receive the most nominations at the prestigious Harvey Awards.
It’s highly likely that Quantum and Woody will be made into a comedy. And given the Russo brothers background with “Arrested Development” and “Community,” it appears to be in good hands!
