Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson put out a tribute to the late, great Stan Lee, but quickly deleted the photo after she received fan backlash
In a now-deleted Instagram post, the Captain Marvel actress posted a photo of herself holding up what looks like some kind of mixed drink. She captioned the photo saying, “Thinking about Stan. What a legend. R.I.P.”
It seems that she may have felt the need to quickly delete the post due to massive negative feedback from people online. For many, they felt that the post was insensitive and not heartfelt. They also criticized the post for believing honoring Stan Lee with this photo was merely an afterthought.
On Twitter many users called out Brie Larson for what they believed was her insensitivity.
Sweet baby Jesus talk about being insensitive

Larson isn’t the only Marvel Studios actress who had to delete their tribute to Stan Lee after backlash. Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts, had to delete hers as well.
This isn’t the first time Larson has had issues with social media misfires. She was recently criticized for using her role as Captain Marvel in the upcoming Marvel Studios film to get people to vote in the recent midterm elections.
This most recent social media misfire, isn’t an isolated incident. Larson previously got upset at a TSA agent for asking for her phone number. She would go on to insinuate the TSA agent was harassing her and that she constantly has to “live life on the defense” because she’s a woman.
I merely smiled at a TSA agent and he asked for my phone number. To live life as a woman is to live life on the defense.

What do you think of all this? Is this just a classic example of someone being totally out of touch and lacking self-awareness? Or was this all a simple mistake made by the Captain Marvel actress?
