Another entertainer has some things to say about comedian Dave Chappelle and jokes, the offended this time being fellow comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who recently went on a bizarre rant against Chappelle’s “opinions on trans s–t.”

During an interview with GQ published on June 15th, Carmichael went on a profanity-laced tirade against Chappelle, beginning with his recalling that in terms of his being gay, “it’s hard for a family to… just acknowledge the one part that you need acknowledged. My [15-year-old] niece is the only one that really did that. She hit me with a quick text, I see you. I hear you.”

“I love this generation,” he added, before alluding to his comedy senior. “I actually f–k with them, and f–k all those comedians that are going so hard against them.”

Carmichael then began to ramble, “Look, I get it. Everybody’s got to create a boogeyman to sell tickets. But it’s not true.”

“Who’s getting canceled for what they’ve said?,” he asked. “What does that mean, that people are mad on Twitter? Everybody’s fine. These grown men are fine. ”

The comedian added, “I think, a lot of times, people who offer nothing truthful or meaningful about themselves then complain about society at large and create this boogeyman. ”

“It’s like, listen, that’s the most urgent thing in your life? God bless you. I’m tired of hearing it,” Carmichael continued before moving to mention Chappelle by name and spout a further string of words on him.

“Chappelle, do you know what comes up when you Google your name, bro?,” he exclaimed. “That’s the legacy? Your legacy is a bunch of opinions on trans s–t? It’s an odd hill to die on. And it’s like, hey, bro. Who the f–k are you?

Carmichael concluded, “Who do you f–k? What do you like to do? Childish jokes aside, who the f–k are you? It’s just kind of played. But he’s choosing to die on the hill. So, alright, let him.”

Chappelle, of course, did not create that so-called hill. Rather, LGBTQ+ advocates did when they began to demand that every institution – including entertainment, sports, the armed forces, the intelligence community, politics, news, education, health care, food stuffs, and even churches – cater specifically to their own personal insecurities.

Said advocates have grown so fanatical that they’ve even taken to forcing children to conform to their ideologies, becoming outraged when we object to it.

And now, with threats of cancellation constantly wielded as a weapon, none of us can even escape it any longer. They won’t let us.

Despite this, the media framed Carmichael’s rant just as one would expect.

The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrap, and Variety all declared in their headlines that Carmichael was taking on Chappelle’s “Anti-Trans” comedy. Throughout their article, E! News claimed that the junior comedian had spoken “candidly about Dave Chappelle’s transphobic remarks.”

Their use of these terms tells you everything you need to know who the media are siding with in this spat – then again, that decision was never really in doubt.
