Carrie Fisher won a Grammy for her book, The Princess Diarist, for Best Spoken World Album.

Fisher’s book beat out Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Astrophysics For People In A Hurry, Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run, Shelly Peiken’s Confessions Of A Serial Songwriter, and Bernie Sanders and Mark Ruffalo’s Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In.

The Princess Diarist is a 2016 memoir. It was inspired by Fisher’s diary entries while she was working on the first Star Wars film in 1977.  The book included the bombshell claim she had a brief affair with co-star Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo. At the time Harrison Ford was 33 and married while Fisher was 19.

Fisher explained how she broached the subject with Harrison:

“I said, ‘I found the journals that I kept during the first movie, and I’m probably going to publish them.’ And he just sort of raised his finger and said, ‘Lawyer!’ Then I said, ‘No, I won’t write anything that you don’t want. I mean, I’ll show it to you before and you can take anything out that you want taken out. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable’ – which I, of course, have. Unduly comfortable.”

Despite approaching Harrison Ford about it, Fisher still believed she ambushed him:

I wouldn’t have ambushed him like that, but it’s still – no matter if I told him or not, it probably feels like an ambush. It feels like an ambush to me, and I’m the one who wrote it.

As for Harrison Ford he’s been quite mum on the book. He was asked about it by GQ.

Oh, I don’t know. I don’t know. You know, with Carrie’s untimely passing, I don’t really feel that it’s a subject that I want to discuss.

He also said he hasn’t read the memoir.

This was Carrie Fisher’s first Grammy win, but her second nomination. She was previously nominated for Best Spoken Word in 2008 for her book Wishful Drinking.

The Grammy win is bitter sweet as she receives it posthumously. Fisher tragically died on a plane returning home to Los Angeles. She had been on a book tour in Europe promoting The Princess Diarist. The book was released five weeks before Fisher died on December 27, 2016 at the age of 60.

The Grammy’s are live right now on CBS. They began at 7:30 PM ET. This year they are being hosted by The Late Late Show host James Cordon.
