Along with sharing the petition Alexander also Tweeted her support of Hardwick stating she’s known him for over 10 years and believes his side of the story.
Guys- I’ve know. Chris Hardwick for over 10 years. I knew him through his breakup with said accuser. With the personal knowledge I have regarding this situation I am choosing to follow my heart, my instincts, and support my friend.

Hardwick was accused by his ex-girlfriend Chloe Dykstra of controlling behavior and sexual assault. Hardwick denied the accusations and appears to have leaked text messages to TMZ that coincide with his side of the story.
A number of other ex-girlfriends including Jacinda Barrett, Andrea Savage, and Janet Varney have spoken out defending Hardwick, noting none of the accusations leveled at him by Chloe Dykstra occurred during the times they were dating.
Hardwick’s wife Lydia Hearst has also stood beside him and is defending him against the accusations. She specifically called for due process.
After the accusations surfaced AMC quickly moved to remove Hardwick from panels at San Diego Comic-Con. They also cancelled his talk show Talking with Chris Hardwick. Hardwick was also removed from a comedy spot at the KAABOO Del Mar festival.
NBC for their part did not remove Hardwick from their upcoming shows, but instead noted they are “continuing to assess the situation.”
No files have been charged against Hardwick.
Do you think Hardwick should be reinstated at AMC?
