This account will be inactive after today. We’re very tired & upset over the ongoing BULLSHIT… neither I nor my rep will use Twitter again. Twitter sucks and I want nothing to do with it.Thank you to all who gave kind words & support. See you on Instagram.

A representative appears to have confirmed that as they posted on his Twitter account following his announcement that he would be quitting the social media platform. Rooker will still be active on Instagram and Facebook as well as his official website.

Rooker starred in both Guardians of the Galaxy movies as the Ravager Yondu Udonta. Gunn directed both films and showcased a child trafficking storyline in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. It was revealed that Yondu had been working with Ego to kidnap his offspring and bring them to him for testing so he could take complete control of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. All of the kids ended up dead from the experiments.
For his acts of child trafficking, Yondu and his group of Ravagers were outcast by Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar Ogord. However, Yondu would be redeemed by the end as he sacrificed his own life to save Star-Lord. For his sacrifice he would see a proper Ravager funeral.
Rooker’s move to leave Twitter comes after James Gunn, who was expected to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and had intimated the script for the film was already completed, was fired by Disney after a number of sickening Tweets about pedophilia, child rape, molestation and others were brought to light.

Rooker’s response is the latest from a number of Guardians of the Galaxy stars. Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana both indicated a wait and see approach.
This differed from Dave Bautista and Sean Gunn, James Gunn’s brother, who defended Gunn.
Despite a number of outlets reporting Gunn has apologized for the Tweets, he never did such a thing. He only expressed regret and apologized for the situation the Tweets created.
Gunn’s troubles might not be over. Mike Cernovich has intimated he will call for a Congressional investigation into Hollywood and Senator Ted Cruz has said he believes Gunn should be prosecuted.
