Milo Yiannopoulos has launched a new book, [easyazon_link identifier=”B07QLRVPMK” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]How To be Poor[/easyazon_link].
The firebrand public figure announced the book was for sale on Amazon to his Facebook fans on April 11th.
The book is much shorter than his previous outing, [easyazon_link identifier=”069289344X” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Dangerous[/easyazon_link], clocking in at 54 pages. And the book already appears to be an instant success as it is already a #1 Best Seller in 90-Minute Self-Help Short Reads according to Amazon. In fact, it’s #1 in Philosophy Aestetics as well as #1 in Aesthetics in the Kindle Store.
Here’s the official description:
“Recently, I became poor.
It’s disgusting, and it means God loves me less than he loves you. I know my tragic penury won’t last forever—but in case you, too, have been fired for something you said, deplatformed for something you believe, or just abruptly cut off from your trust fund, this book will explain how to navigate life when you are unexpectedly yanked from privilege and told to, err, earn a living.
Enjoy the hilarious tale of my cataclysmic fall from wealth, grace, and high-end hair salons, but be sure to pay close attention to the tips I’ve picked up along the way and you might just make it out alive—and with minimal split ends.”
Not only is the book for sale on Amazon, but it’s also for sale on Arkhaven Comics’ website given the book was edited by Arkhaven Comics publisher Vox Day.
I got the opportunity to chat with Vox about the book and he lauded it’s usefulness and noted it “underlines the importance of self-responsibility.”
BIC: The book is described as a guide for people who have been deplatformed, do you expect it be common reading in the near future as social media platforms continue to ban people for writing things like “learn to code?”
Vox: “I think [easyazon_link identifier=”B07QLRVPMK” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]HOW TO BE POOR[/easyazon_link] will be useful for anyone who finds themselves in difficult circumstances, even those that are not necessarily related to poverty. Milo’s book is surprisingly stoic and underlines the importance of self-responsibility even when those circumstances are beyond one’s control. But I think HOW TO BE POOR will be very popular, and indeed, the Kindle version is already an Amazon bestseller in all of its categories, because the subject matter is so relevant to an increasing number of people these days. And, of course, because it’s hilarious.”
BIC: The book has plenty of good advice on how to really live on the cheap in the USA. What would you say is the best advice Milo gives?
Vox: Don’t feel sorry for yourself.
BIC: You’ve collaborated with Milo before on SJWs Always Lie, where he wrote the prologue, do you plan on doing any more collaborations?
Vox: Absolutely. We also collaborated recently on [easyazon_link identifier=”9527065690″ locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]JORDANETICS[/easyazon_link], for which he wrote a brilliant and very damning Foreword. In fact, Milo will be releasing a major new book soon, the long-awaited FEMINISM IS CANCER. It’s excellent, it’s relevant, it’s very funny, and I won’t be surprised if it is an even bigger success than [easyazon_link identifier=”069289344X” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]DANGEROUS[/easyazon_link] was.
BIC: Are there plans for a Milo-centric comic?
Vox: Not at this time.
