New Google Leak Appears to Contradict Google Executive Jen Gennai’s Response to Project Veritas Video

A new Google leak appears to contradict Google Executive Jen Gennai’s response to a Project Veritas video where she claimed Google “has no notion of political ideology in its rankings.”

Not only did this new Google leak appear to contradict Jen Gennai’s response, but YouTube censored Project Veritas’ recent video upload documenting Google’s alleged plans for election meddling in 2020 and beyond.

YouTube Censors Project Veritas

The video features Google’s Head of Responsible Innovation, Global Affairs Jen Gennai detailing that Trump’s election in 2015 “screwed over’ everybody. She also details Google’s plans to train their Artificial Intelligence algorithms in order to prevent a 2016 from happening again.

Not only does the video feature Gennai detailing Google’s plans, but it also purports to have a Google insider who claims Google “is bent on never letting somebody like Donald Trump come to power again.”

If you try and watch the video, you will receive a message that states, “This video is no longer available due to a privacy claim by a third party.”

James O’Keefe, the head of Project Veritas, took to Twitter to confirm that YouTube pulled their video featuring Gennai and the insider claiming YouTube received two privacy complaints from individuals regarding their content.

The video can still be seen on Vimeo below.

Jen Gennai Responds

Gennai responded to the Project Veritas video in a blog post on Medium. In her post, Gennai paints herself as a victim noting she received “an enormous collection of threatening calls, voicemails, text messages and emails.”

She would also write:

“Project Veritas has edited the video to make it seem that I am a powerful executive who was confirming that Google is working to alter the 2020 election. On both counts, this is absolute, unadulterated nonsense, of course.”

She would also claim:

“In fact, Google has no notion of political ideology in its rankings. And everything I have seen backs this up. Our CEO has said ”We do not bias our products to favor any political agenda.” He’s somewhat more powerful and authoritative than me.”

Gennai then claims she’s not involved with any of the projects she discussed in the Project Veritas video:

“But despite what the video may have you believe, I’m not involved in any of these products, just like I’m not involved in any of the other topics Project Veritas baited me into discussing (whether it’s antitrust, Congress, or the dozens of other topics that didn’t appear in the video, on which I presumably didn’t say anything that could be twisted to their advantage). I was having a casual chat with someone at a restaurant and used some imprecise language. Project Veritas got me. Well done.”

New Google Leak Contradicts Gennai

However, a brand new Google leak appears to contradict Gennai’s statements about Google not being ideological. In an email from a Google employee named Liam Hopkins that Project Veritas claims was “sent as part of the Google “transparency-and-ethics” group internal communications” shows that Google classified PragerU, Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro as “Nazis using the dog whistles.”

The email reads:

“Today is it often 1 or 2 steps to nazis, if we understand that PragerU, Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro et al are nazis using the dog whistles you mention in step 1. I can receive these recommendations regardless of the content of what I’m looking at, and I have recorded thousands of internet users sharing the same experience.

I don’t think correctly identifying far-right content is beyond our capabilities. But if it is, why not go with Meredith’s suggestion of disabling the suggestions feature? This could be a significant step in terms of user trust.”

Reddit Bans Project Veritas

Not only did YouTube censor Project Veritas, but O’Keefe would also reveal that Reddit banned the ProjectVeritas account.

As One Angry Gamer points out, if you go to the Project Veritas user page on Reddit it reads “This account has been suspended.”

Congressman Louie Gohmert Responds

Congressman Louie Gohmert responded to the Project Veritas via a press release:

“This video shows Google’s biases are now a threat to a free and fair election, all while they hide behind the immunity given by Congress years ago when they were supposed to be a simple ‘town square’ where everyone’s voice could be heard without biased results. In fact, Google references a significant role they see themselves fulfilling in the 2020 elections. This discovery should set off alarm bells throughout the country. It is no secret that Google has a political agenda. Multiple brave tech insiders have stepped forward and exposed Google’s censorship of content and specialized algorithms. This media giant’s ‘social justice narrative’ should distress all Americans who value a free and open society. Google should not be deciding whether content is important or trivial and they most assuredly should not be meddling in our election process. They need their immunity stripped and to be properly pursued by class action lawsuits by those they have knowingly harmed.”
