Former CNN anchor Piers Morgan decided to take on James Bond actor Daniel Craig over a photo of him carrying his newborn daughter. It didn’t work out very well for Morgan as he got raked over the coals for his insult.
Morgan would claim that Craig carrying his young daughter Ella in a papoose emasculated him.
Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond pic.twitter.com/cqWiCRCFt3

Morgan would clarify his comments making it clear he was referring to the use of the papoose as emasculating.
He’s not carrying it, that’s my point. He’s using an emasculating papoose.
James Bond would never use a papoose to carry his babies. https://t.co/6aZZSFUEjy— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 15, 2018
Carrying a baby is harder work, but worth it for the unashamedly masculine joy of NOT wearing a papoose. https://t.co/3liJ4CZJGG

There’s nothing ‘badass’ about wearing a papoose. They’re the least ‘badass’ things on Planet Earth. https://t.co/rPuIyaVQDN

I just hate papooses. I know the shrieking Twitter mob is trying to bully me into liking them – but they will fail in their mission. https://t.co/AcHChn5VNJ

Morgan was roundly criticized for his original comments.
Emasculated? I don’t think I’ll ever feel more of a man than when I’m looking after my children. Dick.

Oh no it’s Thor and 007, has the world lost its mind? You really haven’t a clue have you. These men, and in fact all men, get sexier when showing they love and care for their babies. pic.twitter.com/M2Ksr9U8Nh

Oh Piers you misguided fool! It’s the greatest thing in the world carrying my little girl around. Your definition of masculinity is skewed x pic.twitter.com/pJP2Equa9G

This is absolutely one of my favorite pictures. Solomon Nesta, my son loved his carrier. We bonded may a day on our walks through my neighborhood. He gets to explore in the safe of daddy arms. #PiersMorgan #papoose? #emasculatedBond = #DanielCraig, Good Daddy. pic.twitter.com/NUMFzlNkGm

Seeing my husband carry our babies only makes him more of a man ? pic.twitter.com/Mc4QWUDFoT

Nothing “emasculating” about a #papoose. Men carry babies. There are tools that help. Using tools is smart. Especially if you want to walk, hike, work while also carrying a baby.

You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside. https://t.co/9jsHZ3WKRn

Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz’s newborn baby daughter arrived in September.
While Piers was roundly criticized for his opinion, I think he hit the nail on the head when he stated that James Bond would never be caught wearing a papoose. That’s more than likely true. However, Daniel Craig only plays James Bond, he isn’t really 007.
What do you make of Pier’s comments do you think a papoose is emasculating?
