Bandai Namco Confirms “Ongoing Investigation” In Potential Bomb Threat Against US Offices

The US offices of video game developer Bandai Namco were the targets of a potential bomb threat, according to the company.

The potential threat was first reported by IGN, who received a tip regarding the threat. After reaching out to Bandai Namco, a representative provided IGN with a statement confirming that an “ongoing investigation” was underway:

“We can’t provide any comment regarding the validity of the threat as there is an ongoing investigation in progress. We can say that all our employees are safe and that we will be doing everything in our power to safeguard the well being of our employees.”

At the time of IGN’s report, local authorities were not aware of the threat.

Bandai Namco has yet to issue any further details regarding the alleged threat or their investigation.

The bomb threat against Bandai Namco comes just days after a man was arrested in Japan for threatening to commit a “repeat of Kyoto Animation” against fellow video game developer Square Enix.
