Chances are you may not have heard of the game Battlestar Galactica Deadlock. Released back in August of 2017, BSG: Deadlock is a turn based strategy game.
The game is set in the timeline of the re-imagined television series, specifically in the first Cylon war. Since its release, the game has had 4 expansions, which encompassed season 1.
On August 29th, the fifth expansion to BSG Deadlock, entitled Resurrection, will be released.
Developer Black Lab Games, announced details of the expansion in the game’s Steam community. There will be a new fully voiced 10 mission campaign, along with new side quests, new ships, and squadrons.
Alongside the DLC will be a new quality of life patch called the Command Update.
The Command Update delivers a number of quality of life improvements to Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, including:
- The game-changing multi-select control scheme for keyboard and mouse users
- User Interface Improvements to make giving orders to players’ fleet faster and easier
- A revamp of the projectiles (bullet) systems
- A new full-screen effects system that refreshes the look of the game battles
Players will get a really cool change of setting also, as you get to experience command from the Galactica CIC.
No price has been set for the expansion, however based on the price history of previous DLC, it could run from $9.99 – $14.99.
If you have never played Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock before, there’s a huge narrative. The previous story content DLC’s are must haves if you want to understand the entire campaign.
Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome
For some fun material that will enhance your gameplay experience, try watching Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome. Blood and Chrome is a story set in the first Cylon war that originally aired on Syfy.
Battlestar Galactica: Razor, a movie that ran concurrently with the 2003 show, is another cool tie-in.
Even if you’re not a BSG or science fiction fan, you will enjoy plotting strategy in your head while playing the game. BSG: Deadlock will make a seasoned colonial officer out of anyone.
