Sony Computer Entertainment and Supermassive Games have just released their latest trailer for Until Dawn, a gripping horror game. Until Dawn will allow you to take on the role of eight different characters who have found themselves trapped at an isolated mountain retreat< Blackwood Pines. The catch, they aren't alone. The eight friends will have to fight through their fear and terror in order to survive the night. The biggest draw to the game is your choices affecting the outcome. The game will force you to make on-the-spot choices as you search for answers to figure out what is happening. Players will be faced with big moral quandaries examining good and evil and testing your sense of fairness. Every decision even the most trivial ones could be the difference between life and death, you won't know who will die and who will live. In order to enhance the idea of every choice affecting the outcome of the story, Until Dawn will utilize the Butterfly-Effect Interface that allows players to see how their choices have affected the story amid the thousands of other possible outcomes.
The story comes from the minds of Larry Fessenden and Graham Reznick with acting performances from Hollywood stars such as Hayden Panettiere (Heroes and Nashville), Rami Malek (Night at the Museum, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Need for Speed), and Brett Dalton (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
Until Dawn will utilize an upgraded version of the Killzone Shadow Fall engine that provides excellent visuals and allows for unique lighting and audio techniques to increase the terror you will experience while playing. If the trailer is any indication the graphic look absolutely amazing and you can see the terror and fear on the faces of the characters.
Until Dawn arrives in stores exclusively for the PlayStation on August 8, 2015.
