A recent update to the box art for the highly-anticipated, upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake has revealed that the game will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 for a period of one year after launch.
On December 9th, notable video game news and deals Twitter account Wario64 gave players their first look at the updated box art for the game, which now bears a ‘PlayStation Exclusive’ sticker stating that the game will be exclusive to the PS4 until March 3rd, 2021, one year from the release of the game:

This box art contradicts an official statement given to IGN back in July from Square Enix. They told them, “As previously announced, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released for the PlayStation 4 on March 3rd, 2020. We have no plans for other platforms.”
Square Enix first revealed the western box art for Final Fantasy VII Remake, which depicts Cloud Strife gazing up towards the Shinra Headquarters in recreation of the original US box art, in September:

As of writing, it is currently unknown which other platforms Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available on after the exclusivity window has passed, though the German Xbox team has mistakenly tweeted about the game coming to the Xbox One in the past.
