Sherrilyn Kenyon’s ‘Dark-Hunter’ Series Gets Comic Book Adaptation

Sherrilyn Kenyon is teaming up with Dabel Brothers Publishing to release comics, graphic novels, manga, and two adult coloring books based on Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter series.

The Dark-Hunter series follows the evolution of a race of immortal warriors whose mission is to protect mankind from evil. The first comic book adaptation will begin with Acheron. Acheron is the first Dark-Hunter who fought against the darkness alone for a thousand years. The first issue of the comic is due out in August of this year and will be followed by a collected graphic novel later in the year.

“It’s an absolute thrill and privilege to be working with the Dabel Brothers again,” Kenyon said. “There’s no one I trust more to share the graphic depictions of my worlds.”

The first adult coloring book, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunters Coloring Book is expected to ship on March 28th. It is 24 pages in length and also comes with an 18×24 poster that can also be colored. The second coloring book, Deluxe Dark-Hunter Coloring Book will ship in August and will be available on Amazon and in major bookstores. Finally, the manga is scheduled for a 2017 premiere.

“Sherrilyn Kenyon is wildly talented and a Goddess among authors,” said Les Dabel, VP of Dabel Brothers. “Her work spans multiple genres—from young adult to fantasy. She’s had over 75 books on the New York Times bestseller list and is consistently ranked as one of the top-selling writers on Amazon. We are thrilled to be partnering with Kenyon to bring her beloved novels into the graphic medium, and we have no doubt this will appeal to her current fans as well as new readers who may be attracted to the visual format.”
