Batman has become a cultural icon since he first debuted in DC Comics. He’s been featured in almost every single media platform with multiple live-action television shows, over a dozen live-action movies, and I can’t even count how many animated television shows and movies he’s appeared in. That’s not to mention all of the comics and books he’s appeared in.

The character has had multiple incarnations in both live-action as well as on the page and in the cartoons. Adam West gave us a campy fun-loving playboy detective. Christian Bale gave us a melancholy Batman, while Ben Affleck gave us a brooding Batman. Other actors such as Michael Keaton, George Clooney, and Val Kilmer have given us their take on Batman. But more recently we’ve seen David Mazouz and Will Arnett apply their talents to the character. Many would argue that Kevin Conroy is the quintessential Batman.

As many people who have applied their talents to Batman there have been way more stories. And in those stories Batman takes on a number of roles. There’s a reason they call him the Caped Crusader and the World’s Greatest Detective. Because he not only acts as a crusader, but he’s also a vigilante who seeks to root out crime in his beloved Gotham City.

And with so much information out there we decided to create a quiz to see how well people really know Batman.

Take the quiz:
