The Nintendo Switch’s upcoming exclusive, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, will have same sex romance options for players.

US Gamer reports, “Nintendo of America confirmed to us that same-sex relationships are possible for select characters in the game.”

However, Nintendo of America did not reveal which characters would be available for same-sex relationships.

**Warning Possible Spoilers for Fire Emblem: Three Houses Below**

In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, players will be able to choose between either a male or female protagonist that goes by the name of Byleth. US Gamer speculates that the female Byleth will be able to pursue romantic relationships with Edelgard, Dorothea, Rhea, Mercedes, and Sothis. They also speculate that there is only one male character that is able to be romanced by male Byleth. That character is Lindhardt.

Romancing characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses will only be available after a time skip in the game. The game is broken up into at least two sections. The first section sees Byleth as a professor teaching many of the students that will be available to pursue romantically. The second section is after a time skip and the characters are no longer in a professor and student setting, and are also older. The options to pursue a relationship romantically will only become available after the time skip.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 26, 2019.
