James Bond and rumored Batman actor Jeffrey Wright took to Twitter to call for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
Wright wrote on Twitter, “America’s first Civil War fought to prevent southern states from destroying the union to keep black men, women & children enslaved. The second fought over Donald f****** Trump? We really would be the most ignorant people on the planet. Impeachment this corrupt lowlife clown.”

The second fought over Donald fucking Trump?
We really would be the most ignorant people on the planet.
Impeachment this corrupt lowlife clown.

Wright would correct his grammar error in a subsequent Tweet writing, “Impeach this corrupt lowlife clown…too ignorant to realize that if he’d worked toward an infrastructure package and unified, he wouldn’t have to sell out his country and extort a foreign leader in an attempt to stay in office and avoid the coming state-level criminal charges.”

Wright would follow that up with a text meme referencing Watergate and President Richard Nixon.
Nixon.

Wright’s comments come after President Donald Trump quoted Pastor Robert Jeffress in a series of tweets late last month that said in part, “If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal.”
“Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats can’t put down the Impeachment match. They know they couldn’t beat him in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, and they’re increasingly aware of the fact that they won’t win against him in 2020, and Impeachment is the only tool they have to get….

….rid of Donald J. Trump – And the Democrats don’t care if they burn down and destroy this nation in the process. I have never seen the Evangelical Christians more angry over any issue than this attempt to illegitimately remove this President from office, overturn the 2016….

….Election, and negate the votes of millions of Evangelicals in the process. They know the only Impeachable offense that President Trump has committed was beating Hillary Clinton in 2016. That’s the unpardonable sin for which the Democrats will never forgive him…..

Wright is no stranger to engaging in political rhetoric on Twitter. Back in May, the actor called for Donald Trump to be impeached and seemingly had a warning that once his chosen political side gains power “everybody else f****** duck.”
He’s also called the President a “shit head” and indicated he’s “f***** in the mind & spirit.”
You’re President of the United States of America. You’re granted power & resources to do good in ways only imaginable to most humans. And you choose to be a shit head. Imagine how fucked in the mind & spirit you must be.

Wright joins a growing list of celebrities who have called for Donald Trump’s impeachment that includes Ashton Kutcher, Jim Carrey, and Sophia Bush.
He will star in the upcoming James Bond film, No Time to Die, reprising his role as CIA agent Felix Leiter. He’s also rumored to play Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming The Batman film.
He will be voicing The Watcher in Marvel Studios’ What If…? animated series on Disney Plus. He will also return to HBO’s Westworld as Bernard Lowe for its third season.
What do you make of Wright’s comments?
