One Million Moms Calls For Boycott Against Marvel Studios’ The Eternals
One Million Moms issued a call to boycott Marvel Studios’ upcoming The Eternals film due to the film including a gay hero and a same-sex kiss scene.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige previously confirmed there would be a gay character in the Eternals.
He told Good Morning America, “He’s married. He’s got a family, and that is just part of who he is.”

While Feige, did not reveal who that character would be, actor Haaz Sleiman would reveal that the character would be Brian Tyree Henry’s Phastos. Sleiman told New Now Next, “I just shot a Marvel film with the first openly gay superhero, The Eternals.”
He continued, “I’m married to the gay superhero Phastos, played by Atlanta’s Brian Tyree Henry, and we represent a gay family and have a child.”
Sleiman then detailed there would be a same-sex kiss scene, “Oh, yeah, absolutely, and it’s a beautiful, very moving kiss. Everyone cried on set.”
Following this news, One Million Moms has launched a boycott against the film.
They urge individuals “to make sure as many people as possible are aware of Marvel pushing the LGBTQ agenda on families in the upcoming superhero movie The Eternals, which will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios.”
Their call to boycott continues, “There have been numerous attempts by the entertainment industry to indoctrinate families with the LGBTQ agenda discretely and now more overtly.”
They add:
“1MM wants parents to be forewarned so they are not caught off guard with this upcoming Marvel film. This would surprise most conservative families since it would be unexpected so 1MM needs your help in getting the word out to as many people as possible.
Marvel has decided to be politically correct instead of providing family friendly programming. Marvel should stick to entertaining, not pushing an agenda.”
Finally they urge people to “share [the boycott] friends and family to make sure they are aware of the gay superhero character in The Eternals and not blindsided by it. As moms, we all want to know when Marvel is attempting to desensitize our family by normalizing the LGBTQ lifestyle.
The boycott also encourages people to sign a petition that will be sent to Marvel.
The petition reads:
“I do not agree with the LGBTQ agenda you are pushing on families in the upcoming movie The Eternals. Unless Marvel removes the gay superhero and same-sex kiss, my family will not watch this film. I will urge all my friends to do the same. Marvel has left conservatives no other choice but to avoid The Eternals.”
The petition has currently been signed by 18,612 people.
New Petition Demands Marvel Studios Drop Idea of a LGBT Lead Actor and Superhero in The Eternals
One Million Moms aren’t strangers to calling for boycotts against media. Recently they boycotted Disney’s Onward film over the inclusion of the LGBT police officer Specter.
However, One Million Moms is not the first group to speak out against The Eternals. Last March, Life Site News launched a petition calling for Marvel to be responsible and not “sexualize our children and teens with your movies.”
They added, “We call on you to safeguard the impressionable minds of children and their innocence by scrapping the idea to sexualize your ‘The Eternals’ production by making one of the leading characters a homosexual.”
Their petition has been signed by 11,358 people.
The Eternals comes to theaters on November 6, 2020. The movie stars Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, and Game of Thrones alumni Kit Harrington and Richard Madden.
