Rumor: HBO Max Wants Gal Gadot for Wonder Girl Spinoff of Titans
Earlier, we told you about the potential for spinoffs of streaming series Titans. Aside from ones for Red Hood and Teen Titans, Donna Troy/Wonder Girl might get her own series, and with a very high-profile guest star.
Mikey Sutton’s latest scoop claims HBO Max is discussing an offshoot and “AT&T would like for Gal Gadot to make an appearance.” Yes, Wonder Woman herself.

This would be on a smaller scale than what Marvel is doing with Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Hawkeye on Disney+, so think cameos and guest appearances.
Still, the corporation feels it would be the perfect way to draw from the power on the cinematic end. AT&T, for all the money they’re funneling into HBO Max and the streaming wars, “want DC programs that could capitalize on the success of their cinematic counterparts,” Sutton writes.

He adds, “They feel that a Wonder Girl show would be a way of capturing the fans of the Wonder Woman movie franchise.” WarnerMedia is throwing everything they have into HBO Max to compete with Disney, and one would think Netflix.
Conor Leslie, who plays Donna on Titans, would return as expected. They are bringing her back for season 3 and Sutton reveals how. It’s not via Lazarus Pit or anything interesting. She was taken back to Themyscira to be resuscitated; it’s as simple as that.
Wonder Girl died by electrocution in the season-two finale saving a civilian at a carnival. It was unnecessary, improbable, and perfectly preventable.
I guess they realize it served no purpose and was a mistake. When she is brought back is in question. Reportedly, they want to write it in as soon as possible but may hold off until Season 3’s finale.
Titans is already renewed for a fourth season ahead of a wrap on the third. Next season premieres in 2021 and the first two start streaming on HBO Max in November.
Wonder Woman 1984 is still scheduled for theatrical release at Christmas.
