Shared to the anime’s official Twitter account on March 6th, the new Key Visual depicts series leads Twilight, Thorn Princess, and their adoptive daughter Anya walking down the street, while their ‘true identities’ – or in Anya’s case, her shock at her parents’ respective professions – are reflected in the sidewalk beneath them.

Alongside the release of the new key visual, the SPY x FAMILY production team announced that the series would officially air “on TV Tokyo and others from 23:00 on Saturday, April 9.”

Set in a Cold War-esque period of counterintelligence warfare and intelligence-hungry subterfuge, Spy x Family follows a highly-skilled spy who goes by the name of Twilight. Under the name of Loid Forger, he adopts a daughter and fakes a marriage with a local woman in order to further embed himself and give him the cover needed for his latest mission.

However, unbeknownst to Twilight, both members of his fake family hold startling secrets, with his ‘wife’ Yor actually being the alter-ego of a notorious assassin known as the Thorn Princess and his ‘daughter’ possessing the ability to read the minds of those around her.

As previously announced, the series will be directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Ruroni Kenshin) and feature character designs by Kazuaki Shimada (The Promised Neverland), as well as music from Japanese musical group (K)NoW_NAME.

The series’ principal voice cast includes Takuya Eguchi (Green in Pokémon Origins, Dan Moroboshi in Netflix’s Ultraman) as Twilight, Saori Hayami (Yamato in One Piece) and Atsumi Tanezaki (Emporio Alniño in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean) as the young Anya.
