Square Enix Reveals New Title Harvestella, Official Dragon Quest Treasures Release Date, And NieR Automata Heading to Nintendo Switch

Courtesy of the recent Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Square Enix has dropped a bevy of new information regarding their upcoming releases, including the announcement of a new title, a highly desired port, and a release date for one of their most anticipated sequels.

Square Enix’s offerings at the presentation began with the announcement of Harvestella, a new life-simulation RPG.

In Harvestella, the land is dotted with for giant crystals known as the Seaslights which allow the world’s four seasons to change in a stable manner, albeit in a way that allows each season to grow longer and longer each year.

However, one day a fifth season suddenly appears, “Quietus,” where plants wither and people dare not leave their homes for fear of meeting the same fate.

Gameplay will see players tasked with growing and tending to their crops, making food and items, and visiting other towns and people to help uncover the cause behind the Quietus season and how to prevent it.

Players will also enter dungeons where they’ll be able to engage in action RPG-style battles against various monsters, all the while strategically flipping between jobs such as Fighter, Shadow Walker, and Mage.

The game also features concept art by Isamu Kamikokuryo (Final Fantasy XII) with music by Go Shiina (the Tales series).

Harvestella will launch November 4th for PC (via Steam), and Nintendo Switch.

Next, Square Enix dropped another major announcement in the form of the official release date for Dragon Quest Treasures.

Following a pair of protagonists who Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age players are sure to recognize as younger versions of Erik and Mia, Dragon Quest Treasures sees the siblings venturing to Draconia to find treasure.

As the land is filled with monsters and hard to reach places, the pair traverse Draconia by calling upon some of the nicer monsters to help them.

On the world map, players can ride on friendly monsters to move quickly, bound up cliffs, or glide through the air, while in the game’s action RPG battle system, the monsters will also help fight off other monsters and even rival treasure hunters. Gathered loot can be used to expand your home base, and further increase your menagerie of monster allies.

Dragon Quest Treasures launches December 9th for Nintendo Switch.

Finally, it was announced that NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition would be coming to Nintendo Switch.

The latest chapter in director Yoko Taro’s epic tale of humanity, which began in the Drakengard series and has continued on through the NieR games, Automata takes place at a time where machines have overrun the world and humanity has been forced to retreat to the moon.

Hoping to reclaim the planet, the android army YoRHa task their agents 2B and 9S with leading the charge against the machines.

However, the pair soon find themselves wrapped up in a web of mysteries and truths, the investigation of which leads them to far more existential realizations than they were expecting.

The YorHa edition features both the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC pack, which unlocks three additional costumes and colosseums, and the new 6C2P4A118680823 pack, a Switch-exclusive add-on which grants players six more costumes, four new accessories, and two pod skins based on characters from NieR Re[in]carnation.

NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition will launch October 6th on Nintendo Switch.
