Joe Rogan Accuses Dwayne Johnson of Using Steroids To Get His Physique in ‘Black Adam’

Podcaster and social commentator Joe Rogan has a bone – maybe one with some raw meat on it – to pick with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Black Adam actor Dwayne Johnson. He doesn’t believe Johnson comes by his impressively jacked physique naturally or honestly and says that “The Rock” should “come clean” about using steroids to bulk up.

Oddly enough, the discussion where Rogan took square aim at Johnson and made his comments wasn’t even about the modern action icon. On an episode of his show The Joe Rogan Experience, he and his guest were talking about steroids and the confession made by social media influencer/fitness guru Brian “The Liver King” Johnson that he used them to enhance his body.

He swore constantly on Instagram that nothing but his “ancestral” diet of raw food built his muscles into what they are today until emails obtained by The New York Post exposed The Liver King’s extra hidden pharmacy shopping list. He turned out to be lying about his habits and means since 2021 when his social media following took off.

Rogan’s conversation turned to the topic of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who was a lot leaner during his WWE heyday. Anyone would notice the difference between then and now and Rogan sure did. Suspecting that Johnson is hiding something, he accuses The Rock of lying about steroid use when he’s denied touching anything chemical since he was 18.

The Liver King came clean in a video saying he “f-ed up” and admitted he was on steroids. Rogan isn’t buying that Rock genuinely is the opposite. “The Rock should come clean right now,” Rogan urged. “He should make a video in response to the Liver King video like, ‘I need to talk to you because The Rock’s been lying.’”

Rogan would add, “There’s not a f-ing chance in hell he’s clean, not a chance in hell. As big as The Rock is at 50?” Skeptical, he further exclaimed there’s no way anyone can maintain such mass as the amount Johnson possesses at that age – with the “striations” and the “vascularity” that wasn’t there when he wrestled or made The Scorpion King.

“The point is you can’t even get there with HRT [hormone replacement therapy],” Rogan continued while googling photos of the actor from decades ago. “That’s not HRT. He is so massive, and he’s so different than he was when he was 30.” Maybe so, but despite this painstaking criticism, Rogan’s primary contention wasn’t using steroids specifically.

In fact, he does HRT for himself and claims it’s made him feel good at his age. “I think it’s actually wise,” he admitted proudly. “I was taking a testosterone cream, and right away, I was like…‘I feel so much better.’ Like everything felt better. I don’t think it’s wrong. I think it’s smart, but you’ve got to be honest.”

No, he is more concerned with the idea The Rock may be lying about his usage of them. Otherwise, Rogan has a libertarian outlook that’s okay with steroids. However, he also thinks Johnson is saddled with a duty to explain himself to his fans. “There’s a responsibility that you have to people that are listening to you,” Rogan says.

“Now, if you don’t want to talk about it, that’s one thing. But if you do talk about it, there’s a responsibility that you have to people that are listening to you, and I think you have to be honest,” he added. Rogan would also accuse Chris Hemsworth of resorting to more than training to get his Thor body but offered no proof.
