Dragon Ball Super: Broly Voice Actor Vic Mignogna Confirms He Has Hired a Law Firm to “Salvage My Reputation”

Dragon Ball Super: Broly voice actor Vic Mignogna took to Twitter to confirm that he has retained the services of a law firm to “attempt to salvage my reputation and my 20-year career in this industry.”

Mignogna would also confirm that he approved of the GoFundMe campaign set up by Nick Rekeita and that “any surplus will go to the Salvation Army Dallas Domestic Violence and Abuse Shelters.”

He would reiterate, “I hold no malice toward anyone. I just love my work and the fans, and sincerely wish to continue.”

Here’s the full statement:

“Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude for all the kindness and support that has been shown to me over the last few weeks. I had hoped that my apologies and acknowledgments, both public and private, would be received. But I have no very reluctantly retained a law firm as my last and only recourse to attempt to salvage my reputation and my 20-year career in this industry.

A friend expressed a desire to set up a GoFundMe for legal expenses, I approved his kind offer and am so grateful, but I am not managing it, nor will I personally receive any of it. Any surplus will go to the Salvation Army Dallas Domestic Violence Abuse Shelters.

I hold no malice towards anyone. I just love my work and the fans, and sincerely wish to continue.”

His statement comes after new allegations from fellow Dragon Ball Super voice actor Monica Rial.

Mignogna was accused of sexual misconduct back in January and he has made multiple statements denying the accusations first on Twitter and then at a public appearance at Bak-Anime 2019.

Following the accusations, Mignogna was removed from his role in Funimation’s Morose Monokean II. Funimation also announced they would not be working with Mignogna on any future projects. One can only assume if Broly appears in any new Dragon Ball Super content, Mignogna would not be the voice behind the character.

Rooster Teeth would also remove Mignogna from RWBY. However, Fantasy Soft would retain Mignogna’s services for their upcoming Prince Adventures project.
