Funimation Responds to Vic Mignogna’s Name Dropped from Dragon Ball Super: Broly’s Listing on iTunes
Funimation, the distribution company behind Dragon Ball Super: Broly, responded to voice actor Vic Mignogna’s name not appearing on the cast listing on iTunes.
Mignogna, who voiced Broly in [easyazon_link identifier=”B07MLB1DBG” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Dragon Ball Super: Broly[/easyazon_link], did not have his name credited on the iTunes’ listing of the film.
YouTuber and lawyer Nick Rekieta, who also set up a GoFundMe for Vic Mignogna’s legal team, spotted the removal and brought it to the attention of Funimation. Mignogna has been at the center of sexual misconduct allegations that have seen him fired from Rooster Teeth and Funimation.

Funimation would respond explaining Mignogna’s name not appearing is “an error on the iTunes listing.” They then point to the Best Buy listing which has Mignogna properly credited. They also note, “We are working to get the iTunes listing fixed.”

Funimation would also respond to similar complaints regarding Mignogna’s name on Fullmetal Alchemist. Mignogna voiced lead character Edward Elric in the popular anime series.

Funimation would indicate they are not the licensor on Fullmetal Alchemist and have “not had the rights to Fullmetal Alchemist since 2016.”
A little further clarification: We have not had the rights to Fullmetal Alchemist (or the movie mentioned in this video) since 2016.

They would clarify that they have The Sacred Star of Milos available to purchase on their website, but they do not have the rights for the TV and [easyazon_link identifier=”B000FS2VZO” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa[/easyazon_link].

Rekieta would thank Funimation for responding while also pointing out the problem with Google Play. He also notes that Mignogna had been removed from RWBY as well.

As of this writing, we can confirm Mignogna does now appear on the cast listing for [easyazon_link identifier=”B07MLB1DBG” locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]Dragon Ball Super: Broly[/easyazon_link] on iTunes.
While Mignogna is listed on the cast list for Dragon Ball Super: Broly, if you actually click his name it only shows Dragon Ball Super: Broly as his only film credit. This is not the case for Sean Schemmel and the other voice actors.
