First Look: The Punisher #1

Hip-Hop Variant by Tim Bradstreet

Frank Castle is reforged, reloaded, and reenergized. His one man war on crime and mission to wreak havoc on the underworld of the Marvel Universe returns this May.

Writer Becky Cloonan and artist Steve Dillon will introduce us to a new take and a new beginning for Frank, not to mention a violent ending for al those standing in his way.

The story follows Frank as he is taken by surprise during a by-the-numbers drug bust. The surprise is the drug is a new one, and it has the ability to create unstable super soldiers. Frank sets out to loosen the threads and discover who is behind the trafficking of the drug. As Frank’s investigation unfolds he discovers an old associate from his military days has resurfaced. However, Frank continues to follow the trail of drugs deeper into the Northeast United States’ heart of darkness. A place where he might finally meet his match.
