DC Comics announced a brand new Batman vs Ra’s al Ghul series from Neal Adams, the co-creator of Ra’s al Ghul. Adams will both write and draw the six-issue miniseries.
The series will see “Gotham City under siege by terrorists, with Batman determined to find the source.” However, the series will feature an appearance by Boston Brand aka Deadman. Deadman “discovers an even more disturbing and deadly truth: the terrorists are led by an inhuman monster!”
In a bit of a twist, Ra’s al Ghul decides to help out the GCPD by volunteering his own security force to protect the city from nuclear terror.
However, anyone who knows Ra’s al Ghul knows he has plans within plans. His “true goal is hidden from everyone’s eyes.” But one thing is certain he plans to destroy Gotham and Batman.
Along with the announcement of the Batman vs Ra’s al Ghul miniseries, DC Comics announced a Batman #232 Facsimile Edition.
Batman #232 was the story that introduced Ra’s al Ghul and it will be reprinted in its original format. DC Comics indicates it will be the first of a number of facsimile edition comics.
Ra’s al Ghul vs Batman #1 will feature two covers by Neal Adams. Adams will also provide the cover for the Batman #232 Facsimile Edition. Both issues go on sale on August 21, 2019.
