Today’s Indie Comic of the Day is Von Klaus’ Monster M.D.
Monster M.D. tells the story of surgical prodigy and underground monster doctor Dr. Wyatt Black. Just as he is trying to get out of his dangerous profession of monster mending, Dr. Wyatt Black’s invisible assistant Heidi H. Hyde is kidnapped by the horrific monster that tore off his arm and ruined his career. Dr. Wyatt will have to rely on his paranormal patients in order to rescue Heidi!
Von Klaus is currently crowdfunding Monster M.D. on IndieGoGo. The comic will be over 100 pages and fully colored. It is written by Von Klaus with artwork by Marco Maccagni, colors by Tanya Wicker and letters by Eric Weathers.
The digital version of the comic can be purchased for $18 with physical copies selling for $25. There are a number of other options that include a pin-up poster of Heidi H. Hyde, a sketchbook, a T-shirts, and more.
Von Klaus and team also have a number of stretch goals that include Monster M.D. pins, a fan art gallery, an upgraded Monster M.D. cover, a bomber patch, a bonus chapter detailing Heidi H. Hyde’s backstory, a full color version of the sketchbook, and a Monster M.D. and Shinobi Sasquatch crossover comic.
The current campaign has already surpassed the first stretch goal and unlocked Monster M.D. pins for every physical purchase.
The campaign’s original goal was $3,000 and it has already far surpassed that earning $15,983 from 313 backers. As of this writing the campaign still has 23 days left.
