A new report suggests that Robert Downey Jr. wants Riri Williams aka Ironheart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The report comes from the current Ironheart writer Eve Ewing who recently introduced Robert Downey Jr. at the Gene Siskel Film Center.
Ewing took to Twitter to comment about introducing Downey Jr. She wrote, “The real story here is that Robert Downey Jr. said publicly in a room full of people that Ironheart should be in the MCU. I went straight back to the press area afterward and was like YOU ALL HEARD IT, WRITE THAT DOWN.”

Ewing would then follow that up with two successive tweets noting she was “just kidding” about the real story from the Gene Siskel Film Center.

just kidding, the REAL real real story is that the @filmcenter supports accessible and diverse independent films all year long and brings the world to Chicago through such events as Panorama Latinx and the Black Harvest Film Festival

She would then let her followers know that the next issue of Ironheart will feature The Unstoppable Wasp as they team up to take on a bunch of zombies.
just a reminder that #Ironheart issue 7 is out now, with special guest THE UNSTOPPABLE WASP teaming up with our hero to fight some zombies. even though Riri is initially skeptical… pic.twitter.com/KTdCCoJxUN

Who is Riri Williams aka Ironheart?
Riri Williams aka Ironheart was originally created by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato. The character made her first appearance in The Invincible Iron Man #7 in 2016.
She’s a 15-year-old engineering student who attends MIT and builds her own suit of armor similar to Iron Man’s using stolen parts and technology from campus.
After Tony Stark is put in a coma by Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel during the events of Civil War II, Riri Williams becomes Ironheart and takes on the role of Iron Man alongside Victor Von Doom who becomes the Infamous Iron Man. While in her role as Ironheart, she would eventually join the Champions
The character was eventually taken up by Eve Ewing in her own self-titled series, Ironheart. She also redesigned her armor adding in pink after she had a run-in with Thanos, who easily destroyed her old armor.
