VIZ Media Announces My Hero Academia: School Briefs Vol. 1

VIZ Media announced the release of a new My Hero Academia short story collection titled My Hero Academia: School Briefs Vol. 1.

This new collection is 248 pages in length with an original story by My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi and written by Anri Yoshi.

Here’s the official description:

“The U.A. High School Hero Course teaches young hopefuls everything they need to become heroes. Between killer events like the Sports Festival and internships, there’s even Parents’ Day! That’s when all the kids get the chance to show their parents what they’re made of!”

The book contains seven different parts including the prologue and the epilogue. The other five parts are titled: Notice from School, Staff Room Uproar, Theme Park Panic, Heartwarming Trio, and 1-A: Parents’ Day.

VIZ Media offers a 22 page preview on their website where you can dig into some of the short stories. While much of the book is short stories there are some illustrations of your favorite My Hero Academia characters.

This first volume will be followed by two others based on listings on Amazon. There will be a My Hero Academia School Briefs Vol. 2 as well as a My Hero Academia: School Briefs Vol. 3.

“At U.A. High School, it’s tradition for students to attend a training camp in the woods. Though the kids are mostly there to improve their Quirks, it’s also an opportunity for the ever-chatty class A, and class B as well, to cut loose in a way they can’t during regular classes.”

The second volume is expected to hit shelves on July 2, 2019.

There isn’t much to go on for the third volume, but there is an Amazon listing revealing it will hit shelves on October 1, 2019.
