Avengers: Endgame: Mark Ruffalo Gets Snapped Out of Existence After Discussing Spoilers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner and the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he was snapped out of existence after discussing spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.
Jimmy Fallon hooked Mark Ruffalo up to a lie detector test and began grilling the actor on Avengers: Endgame.
Fallon asks Ruffalo if the Hulk is a Skrull, if there are any clues that no one has discovered in the latest Avengers: Endgame trailer, if Bruce Banner and Black Widow get romantically involved, and if Don Cheadle is sexier than him.
The lie detector lights up red when Ruffalo avoids answering the first three questions. However, it says he’s telling the truth regarding Don Cheadle being sexier than him.
Finally, Fallon asks Ruffalo if there is any way those who were erased by Thanos’ snap can return to life. Ruffalo tells Jimmy, “You know what, Jimmy? I’m outta here.” He then snaps his finger and fades into dust.
Given Ruffalo was not turned into ashes by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, it’s more than likely this is confirmation that characters who were dusted will be coming back to life as many expected.
What is interesting is that Ruffalo mentions, “I don’t want to get fired again.” Ruffalo was previously “fired” by the Russo brothers after he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October of last year. Ruffalo and the Russo brothers have continued the gag for nearly half a year with Ruffalo even questioning if he had been fired when he saw the new Avengers: Endgame poster that was released alongside the new trailer.
