Bloodshot Actor Vin Diesel Confirms The Guardians of the Galaxy Will Show Up in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

Bloodshot actor Vin Diesel confirmed the Guardians of the Galaxy will be showing up in Taika Waititi’s upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder film.

Diesel spoke with ComicBook.com while promoting Bloodshot.

He stated, “The director talked to me and Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy, which would be very interesting. Nobody knows, but maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.”

It’s kind of a given, since the last we saw of Thor and Valkyrie was at New Asgard.

Thor would then be seen on Star-Lord’s ship, the Benatar, launching off into space for some next adventure. Given Thor: Love and Thunder is more than likely the next time we will see Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, unless he makes a cameo in The Eternals, it would make sense to continue from that point.

Not only did Diesel indicate that the Guardians would be showing up in Thor: Love and Thunder, but he also teased that Groot will return in a new form, Alpha Groot. He didn’t elaborate on what that means, and left it up to our imaginations for now.

A Continuing Adventure

With the Guardians of the Galaxy on board for Thor: Love and Thunder it looks like we are in for a really jam-packed adventure. We get to find out what happens to the Guardians and maybe a glimpse of what adventure they are going off to and possibly a prelude to Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. From the looks of it, there may be a quest to find Gamora, who had been displaced from her time.

We also get to see Thor interacting with the Guardians, just as he did in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. And much of that interaction was some of the best humor we’ve seen in a Marvel film.

And we also get to see what happens with Valkyrie as the new leader in New Asgard.

A New Thor and a New Villain

The specifics of what will happen in the movie as with most MCU films is being kept under wraps. However, new details such as Diesel confirming the Guardians have been getting out. Recently, Tessa Thompson also confirmed that Christian Bale would be playing the villain in the movie.

Thompson told ET, “Christian Bale’s gonna play our villain, which is going to be fantastic.”

Thompson also confirmed that Valkyrie will continue to be the King of Asgard, “Hell yea, of course she will.” She added, “No, she’s king. If she can’t find her queen, she’ll be just be king and queen at the same time.”

The film will also see Natalie Portman return as Jane Foster, where she is expected to become the Mighty Thor in a storyline based off Jason Aaron’s recent comic book run.

Needless to say, this movie is going to be packed with people as it is. But what do you think of the inclusion of the Guardians of the Galaxy? Let us know in the comments below or let’s talk about it on social media!
