Colin Trevorrow Teases a Return to Isla Sorna and Maybe More in Jurassic World: Dominion with New Photo
Jurassic World: Dominion could be returning to a key location in The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3.
Director Colin Trevorrow submitted a photo of a prop to the fansite Jurassic Outpost that has people talking. The prop is an InGen cold storage crate used for keeping dinosaur embryos chilled and preserved.

That comes with its own implications but there is more. On the container is the very clear marking that reads “SITE B ISLA SORNA.”

This suggests the characters in Dominion will visit Isla Sorna again or have to deal with dinos from the island. Both prospects have fans excited.
Site B on Isla Sorna was where all the real magic that created dinosaurs happened before they were shipped to Isla Nublar for exhibit in the Park.
Sorna abandoned after a hurricane, it was calculated the dinosaurs there would die without regular lysine injections since John Hammond’s (Richard Attenborough) project and infrastructure went up in smoke as of the first film.
The creatures, finding adequate lysine and substituting nutrients in the local plant life, managed to survive and Hammond decided to let them roam free sans fences in a natural habitat.
In The Lost World, Ian Malcolm’s (Jeff Goldblum) exploration of the island with a research team and struggle with a rival InGen group had disastrous results.
Then Alan Grant (Sam Neill) went to Site B to rescue a couple’s marooned son in Jurassic Park 3. Besieged by the iconic Spinosaurus and a flock of belligerent pterodactyls, Grant and his company escaped, but discover Spino has become the de facto king of the island.

Spinosaurus is where the intrigue enters. The beast sat out Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom, cheating viewers out of an eagerly awaited rematch with the Tyrannosaurus, a species he soundly defeated in JP3.
Paying another visit to Sorna or bringing dinos from the island to the mainland, either physically or via more cloning, may resurrect the presence of Spino to the screen and pit him against a T-Rex once more. And the outcome could be quite different.
So far, there is no announcement or smoking-gun clue Spinosaurus is back for Dominion. It would be a real treat for the fanbase.
Jurassic World: Dominion is back in production after a hiatus forced on filming by the pandemic. The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum.
