20th Century Fox recently did a test screening for Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin’s upcoming Deadpool 2 and the audience reactions don’t appear to be very good for the studio.
Comments on Twitter captured by ScreenGeek, indicate the movie is a “HUGE, Alien 3 blunder with the story.”
I have. From my perspective, with what I’ve heard, they’ve made a HUGE, ALIEN 3 blunder with the story. But I haven’t seen it. Love the first film. https://t.co/8aGDMg9aWS

Blogger Jeremy Conrad added his own thoughts saying, “Fox screened Deadpool 2 tonight (not Dark Phoenix again) and…yikes! First reaction wasn’t what I expected to hear.” Conrad added the film is also 30 minutes longer than Deadpool, has a weak plot, and Morena Baccarin’s Vanesa character is wasted.
Conrad reports he was threatened for legal action. However, he did not actually attend the screening.
I receive an email threatening legal action against me for a screening I never attended and an agreement and NDA I never signed, I post it, and some guy on Twitter accuses me of slandering the movie studio who sent the email. Wow.

However, he did have an anonymous source giving him the details.
In case Fox manages to get my Twitter account locked or suspended for relaying information about Deadpool 2 from an anonymous source, follow me on Facebook and I'll begin posting updates there:https://t.co/w7gJCxCAZa

Conrad and Burnett weren’t the only ones to report Deadpool 2 did not fare well in its test screening.
I have heard its testing really poorly. They are stunned with what the screening audiences are saying. I know people don’t say much about it but, you CANNOT underestimate Tim Millers contribution to getting Deadpool made. He was 1/2 the equation.

Interestingly enough, Josh Brolin who plays both Thanos in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and Cable in Deadpool 2 revealed Deadpool 2 is currently undergoing reshoots. While promoting Avengers: Infinity War to Entertainment Weekly he told them, “I’m up here right now in snowy Vancouver doing reshoots for Deadpool.” That was just three days ago. And they’ve been working on these reshoots since the middle of last month.
Now, the big question is if these rumors about the movie are actually true? It’s possible, but it could also be part of Deadpool 2’s marketing strategy to try and break through the noise Avengers: Infinity War is making. Deadpool isn’t shy when it comes to innovative marketing. They’ve already done a Good Housekeeping stunt. It’s definitely possible this could be just a giant marketing gimmick. However, this could also just be a bunch of made-up rumors started in the Twitter-verse. It wouldn’t be the first time a spontaneous set of lies have taken a life of their own.
But I want to hear from you, what do you think? Is Deadpool 2 in trouble? Tell us in the comments below!
Deadpool 2 comes out on May 18, 2018.
