Godzilla: King of Monsters Star Promises Ending “You Will Never Forget In Your Life”

Godzilla: King of Monsters actor, O’Shea Jackson, teased an epic ending for the upcoming sequel to Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures 2014 Godzilla movie.

But he didn’t just tease an epic ending. He also confirmed which of Godzilla’s famous enemies will also be in the film.

Jackson spoke to Collider while promoting his most recent film, Den of Thieves:

Well as a Godzilla fan I know that I was shocked to find out that the second movie has King Ghidorah. Like King Ghidorah is the Godzilla bad guy. Like a three-headed golden dragon that shoots lightning is going to be in the movie that I’m in? Spazzing. And we got Mothra, we got Rodan, and we got King Ghidorah all in the same film. In the last scene, between Godzilla and King Ghidorah, I promise you, you will never forget in your life, and as a nerd, I am foaming at the mouth to get in like the editing room or something. No one’s answering my calls! Mike Dougherty where are you? Godzilla will be the number one movie dude, it’s a home run that I’m waiting for.

His hype for the upcoming movie and the showdown between Godzilla and King Ghidorah even lead to a little bit of smack talking. He challenged King Kong, Godzilla’s next opponent, “The way that him and Ghidorah fight, you’ll never…Kong better bring some s***.”

Godzilla: King of Monsters is being directed by Michael Dougherty with a screenplay by Max Borenstein and Dougherty. The film stars O’Shea Jackson, The Departed’s Vera Farmiga, Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown, The Shape of Water’s Sally Hawkins, and The West Wing’s Bradley Whitford. The film also sees Ken Watanabe reprise his role as Dr. Ishiro Serizawa.

The official description for the film reveals the “crypto-zoological agency Monarch [will] face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”

Godzilla: King of Monsters is expected to hit theaters on March 22, 2019.

And if you can’t wait  until then to get your Godzilla fix, Netflix just released Godzilla: Monster Planet and it is currently streaming.
