Halloween: Jamie Lee Curtis Drops Second Trailer!

Halloween

Michael Myers is back in the second official trailer for the upcoming Halloween film.

Take a look:

Jamie Lee Curtis dropped the trailer on Twitter with the tag line, “Evil is real.”

The trailer is truly creepy as it starts off during Halloween with a number of kids going out and Trick or Treating. They bump into Michael Myers, who ignores them and heads straight towards an open tool shed, where he picks up a hammer.

While Myers is walking towards the tool shed we can get some exposition in the form of a voice over. You can hear Jamie Lee Curtis’ voice as she explains what Myers previously did, “40 years ago, on Halloween night, Michael Myers murdered three people.” The exposition continues, “After that horrific night, he was sent back to the institution in captivity.”

The trailer then ups the horror as Myers walks into a house with a hammer and kills a housewife with the hammer off screen. All we hear are the woman’s screams and a squelching sound. Myers then picks up a knife and walks back out onto the street, where he finds another victim.

But while Myers is killing victims, Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode explains she prayed every night for Myers to escape so she can kill him. We get some clips of her at a gun range, but things take a turn when she discovers Myers has escaped and he could be targeting her family. Strode goes into full protection mode as she tries to warn her family about the danger and prepare them for the evil that is Myers.

We get some more clips of Myers doing horrifying things or at least teasing doing horrifying things. It’s juxtaposed with Strode’s preparedness and her determination to take out Michael Myers. The trailer ends on a horrifying note with Myers busting through a wall to grab Strode.

What do you think about the trailer?

Halloween is directed by David Gordon Green. It stars Judy Greer as Karen Strode, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, and Nick Castle as Michael Myers. The film hits theaters on October 19, 2018.
