One America News Network’s Jack Posobiec Announces “Simple” Solution to Get Disney to Stop Attacking Georgia

One America News Network host Jack Posobiec announced his simple and clear solution to fight against Disney’s attack against the State of Georgia over its passage of the fetal heartbeat bill.

Disney’s CEO Bob Iger recently noted the company may plan to move their film production out of Georgia if the heartbeat bill goes into effect. Iger stated, “Well, I think if it becomes law it will be very difficult to produce there. I rather doubt we will.” He added, “If it becomes law I don’t see how it’s practical to continue to shoot there.”

Posobiec took to Twitter on Friday to unveil his plan which calls for the state of Florida to pass a similar bill to that of Georgia’s heartbeat bill. Then see if Disney would boycott the state which is home to Walt Disney World Resorts and includes Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach.

Motley Fool reports Disney saw its global theme park attendance increase by 4.8% last year seeing a total of 157.3 million guests. They report Magic Kingdom saw a 2% increase in attendance from 2018 to 2017, Animal Kingdom increased by 10%, Epcot had a 2% increase and Hollywood Studios had a 5% increase. They note between the four parks they had a combined increased in attendance of 4.4% with total guests at 58.3 million.

In another report, they indicate that Disney’s park business saw an increase in revenue by 5%  year over year to nearly $13 billion in the first six months of fiscal year 2019.  Not only that, but they indicate Disney increased its operating income margins from 26% to 28% in the first half of 2018. In fact, the operating income generated $3.6 billion up 12%.

If Disney is serious about moving their business from Georgia over their heartbeat bill, they would really have to double down if a similar bill was passed in Florida, the home of Walt Disney World Resorts. And if they do in fact double down it could really hurt Disney as they would be uprooting one of the more successful parts of their business and be throwing away decades of investment into the state of Florida.

What might be the most interesting part of Posobiec’s solution is how it turns Alyssa Milano’s argument against her. Milano previously called for Hollywood film and TV studios to boycott the state of Georgia. In fact she threatened economic consequences in her open letter writing, “We can’t imagine being elected officials who had to say to their constituents ‘I enacted a law that was so evil, it chased billions of dollars out of our state’s economy.'”

Posobiec’s idea would put that economic burden on the film studios if they do in fact decide to uproot over heartbeat bills.

And Disney wouldn’t be the only player. NBCUniversal also indicated they might leave Georgia if the bill is enacted.

NBCUniversal stated:

“We fully expect that the heartbeat bills and similar laws in various states will face serious legal challenges and will not go into effect while the process proceeds in court. If any of these laws are upheld, it would strongly impact our decision-making on where we produce our content in the future.”

NBCUniversal happens to run two huge theme parks in Florida, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

Would Disney or Universal be willing to part with billions in revenue from these theme parks?

What do you think of Jack Posobiec’s suggestion? Is this just the logical next step? And what do you make of these major studios making announcements on a heartbeat bill? Let me know your thoughts!
