John Boyega’s Agent Reveals Release Date for Next Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer
Another rumor just dropped surrounding the release of the next Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker trailer. This rumor details the trailer will drop on Monday Night Football as the Lions take on the Packers on October 14, 2019.
The rumor comes from Femi Oguns who is the agent for Rise of the Skywalker actor John Boyega.
Oguns writes on Instagram, “The next Star Wars Movies trailer out Monday. It’s official.”
This rumor appears to back up a previous one from Bespin Bulletin who stated the trailer would drop on October 14th during the Lions and Packers game. However, Oguns doesn’t specify which Monday, but given his timing it’s safe to assume he’s referencing the 14th.
Bespin Bulletin speculated back in September:
“Lucasfilm and Disney will follow past Star Wars movies such as The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi and debut the official trailer on Monday Night Football. The Force Awakens trailer released October 19, 2015 and The Last Jedi trailer released on October 9th, 2017. I suspect The Rise of Skywalker trailer will release on October 14th, 2019.”
However, a rumor surfaced yesterday that the trailer would drop a week later, in the Monday Night Football game between the Patriots and Jets, as well as coinciding with the birthday of the late Carrie Fisher.
That rumor came from Black Series Rebels and appeared to be confirmed by ABC 7 reporter George Pennachio. The rumor would be reported with some added details by Star Wars News Net.
Pennacchio noted his source was Star Wars News Net, but he tweeted out, “I would mark your calendar.”
Newsweek has picked up the story but, like me, sources StarWarsNewsNet. I would mark your calendar. đ

In Star Wars News Net’s reporting they noted the trailer would be dropped during halftime and tickets would be available for purchase following the conclusion of the game.
My source tells me that a new Star Wars trailer will be going up as part of the previews for new movies on the 25th of October. That trailer is not on the schedule for films before the 21st.
The trailer will be 2:16 in length as confirmed by the British Board of Film Classification. My source also confirms the length of the trailer.
When do you think the trailer will come out? Are you looking forward to it?
