Marvel just announced the Black Panther release dates for Digital HD, DVD, and Blu-ray. You can get your hands on the Digital HD version of Black Panther on May 8. And just a week later on May 15, you can get your hands on the Black Panther Blu-ray on May 15, 2018.
The Blu-ray release will feature a number of retailer exclusives including Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart.
Best Buy
Best Buy will have two exclusives. They will have a 4k UHD Steelbook as well as a Blu-ray Steelbook. If you pre-order either of the Steelbooks you will also get a free two month subscription to Marvel Unlimited which is Marvel’s digital comic service containing a ton of their older comic books converted to digital.
The 4k Ultra HD Steelbook version includes a 4K Ultra HD disc, a Blu-ray disc, as well as a digital code. The Blu-ray Steelbook only includes a Blu-ray and a digital code.
The Blu-ray Steelbook will run you $29.99 while the 4k UHD Steelbook will be $34.99.
Target
The Target exclusive comes with an exclusive filmmaker behind-the-scenes book along with the Blu-ray and Digital HD.
It will cost $24.99.
Wal-Mart
Wal-Mart will offer a Multi Screen 4K Ultra HD Multiscreen exclusive that comes with a number of Black Panther trading cars. Along with the Ultra HD, you get a Blu-ray disc and a Digital HD code. However, it’s unclear if the actual trading cards are still available. Marvel’s website shows the trading cards, but it doesn’t provide a link to Wal-Mart’s website. When you go to Wal-Mart’s website the trading cards are not listed with their exclusive or on the box art.
This exclusive will run you $24.96.
Along with this retailer exclusives Marvel will offer a Multi-Screen Edition, DVD, 4K UHD Cinematic Universe Edition, and Digital HD.
