New Avengers: Endgame Posters Hint at Fate of Shuri, Valkyrie, Wong, and More After Infinity War

Marvel Studios released a mammoth amount of characters posters for Avengers: Endgame, and they appear to hint at the fates of Shuri, Valkyrie, Wong, and more following the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

The posters seem to indicate who was dusted by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity and who remains alive. Those who were dusted received a black and white poster, while those who remain alive have fully colored posters.

Wong, Valkyrie, and Pepper Potts all appear to be alive following Avengers: Infinity War based off the trailers.

For anyone, who has been following our coverage of the Avengers, you shouldn’t be too surprised to find out that Valkyrie survived Thanos’ snap. Last May at a visit to his almamater, the University of Iowa, Joe Russo revealed that Valkyrie survived Thanos’ attack. He indicated that Thanos did not kill all of the Asgardians and that many of them fled in escape pods.

As for Pepper Potts, based on actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s updates in the lead up to Avengers: Endgame, it was hard to believe her character had perished. Paltrow has stated that her character has some kind of powers in Endgame, and also posted behind the scenes photos of her putting on motion capture equipment. Not to mention, she revealed a tease of her in what looks to be an Iron Man suit, hinting at the possibility she might take on the Rescue persona. But maybe the biggest reveal is that she’s gone on record to declare that Pepper Potts and Tony Stark have a child.

Wong’s fate was rather unclear, but based on watching Avengers: Infinity War it was safe to assume he was still alive. Benedict Wong, who plays Wong, told Nerdist that he was protecting the Sanctum during Infinity War.

While Valkyrie, Potts, and Wong are all pictured in color, Black Panther’s brilliant sister Shuri gets the black and white treatment indicating she was snapped out of existence by Thanos.

What might be even more interesting about these new poster releases is the fact that characters who were actually killed rather snapped out of existence also appear as black and white characters. That’s right, Gamora, Vision, and Loki are also depicted in black and white. Could it be possible that these characters have a chance of returning to life following the events of Avengers: Endgame?

The Loki image might be the most significant as it could debunk the theory that Loki is posing as Bruce Banner aka the Hulk. Banner got his own image and he’s shown in color.

The Russo brothers had previously debunked that theory during a Q&A definitively saying that “Loki is dead.”

Avengers: Endgame is expected to have a 3+ hour run time. Tickets will reportedly go on sale on April 2nd. The movie is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and comes to theaters on April 26th. However, first screenings will take place on April 25th at 6 PM local time.

What do you make of these new posters, do you think they reveal the fate of Shuri, Valkyrie, Wong, and others following the events of Avengers: Infinity War?
